Colruyt is a Belgian family business that, over the past few decades, has developed into a major player in the Belgian retail sector. Intensive ICT and automation have always played a crucial part in the growth of our enterprise. Within our ICT environment we position Java & J2EE as the strategic platform. It is therefore important to underpin this platform with a good architecture – not only geared towards growth in the number of software engineers and applications, but also one that is flexible enough to integrate new technologies (Ajax, DOJO, JSF, Flex, Hibernate, whatever the future will bring). By means of open source & frameworks that were developed in-house we ensure that all our applications re being developed in accordance with our architecture. Besides that we also provide tools to manage and deploy our applications.
