What is a Quickie ?

noun
a thing done or made quickly or hastily, in particular

  • a rapidly consumed alcoholic drink
  • a brief act of sexual intercourse
  • a 15 minute talk at JavaPolis, covering any Java related topic

Practical info

  • The JavaPolis Quickies are presented in the conference/cinema rooms.
  • You can hook up your own portable to the LCD projector.
  • A Quickie lasts maximum 15 minutes
  • A Quickie presentor needs a valid University or Conference pass.
  • All Quickie presentors will receive, and have to use, the JavaPolis template.
  • We expect 5 to maximum 7 slides about your Quickie topic, API, project, product, anything goes !!
  • By entering your name you hereby accept that your Quickie presentation will get recorded and made available through different media.
