Abstract 'JBoss Portal'

JBoss Portal is an enterprise-class JSR-168 compliant Portal software.

It leverages current JBoss technologies such as JBoss Cache, JGroups, Hibernate, and JBoss Application Server JBoss Portal is 100% spec compliant and has passed Sun's TCK testing.

This presentation intends to describe current technologies relating to JBoss Portal and some of the new features included in version 2.2. We will describe the following:

  • An overview of the JBoss Portal architecture.
  • The integration of JBoss Portal in JEMS (JBoss Enterprise Middleware) and its advantages.
  • The concept of "Dynamicity" - the creation/destruction of dynamic objects (portlets, pages, portal instances).
  • Other Roadmap items planned for future releases.
  • General community involvement topics.
