Dear JavaPolis Speaker,

You can now download the JavaPolis 2005 template, which is available in both PowerPoint, Keynote and OpenOffice.
The JavaPolis template is mandatory for all university, conference, quickie and BOF talks.

Presentation Guidelines

Please find below some FAQ regarding speaking at JavaPolis.

Screen Resolution
The maximum resolution for demo?s is preferably 800x600 if you wish to have a good readable online demo afterwards !
Slides-only presentations can use a much higher resolution !
Demos
The Demo slide should be used before each demo, so we've a good indication during post-processing.
If possible try to group all of your demos in one block.
Hardware
All speakers can use their own machine, using any OS, as long as you've a VGA connector.
Don't do a presentation on batteries as this will result in a 'weak' VGA signal.
Q&A
Make sure you repeat the questions if the second mic is not used during Q&A. If not, the Q&A will not
be included in the 'online' version.
Track Host
The track host will indicate how many minutes you've left to speak, starting with a 15-10-5-0 minute sign.
The track host is your friend, because he/she is responsible for your speaker gift and recording agreement
