Abstract

The current software development situation is less than ideal. Delivering a system in time, within budget, and meeting the needs of the customers, is at least considered a challenge. Projects often struggle to survive when end user-pressure to deliver increases and trust fades away. The understanding an involvement of the project's various stakeholders is key to success. Without a very good mutual understanding of what we do, how we do it, or why we do it, unrealistic demands and lack of support lure around the corner. A process driven approach can help you to remain in control.
But of course the Process itself isn't the goal, its the end product that really matters. An instance of the Unified Process that takes into account the profound principles of Agile modeling can do a great job. But don't worry, we didn't find the holy grail, nor did we reinvent the wheel we just applied industry standards, and had some success. So you've already chosen the right technology, come and see how it can be leveraged.
