Jan Baan founded the Baan Company in 1978. During the years of 1990-2000 Baan Company expanded to a global market leader of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Since Baan, he set up the Vanenburg Group in 1998. Jan Baan is currently Chairman and CEO of the Vanenburg Group. Cordys Company, a Vanenburg Group company, develops Intellectual Property in the area of Web Services a Collaborative Real-Time Enterprise Technology platform and "beyond ERP" collaborative Lean Enterprise applications.
Since 2003 Jan Baan is connected as Entrepreneur in Residence with the Rotterdam School of Management of the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
